Eat Well Berkeley is the UC Berkeley standard to promote healthy food on campus. Not only is Market Hall Caterers approved under this program, but over 90% of our menu naturally meets these guidelines.
When you choose from our Eat Well Menu (EWM) you’ll be eating nutritious, fresh, whole foods that are minimally processed; options and ingredients from various cuisines, reflective of Berkeley’s cultural diversity; fresh vegetables and fruit featured across meals and snacks, and available as sides; whole grain options provided with 100% whole grains recommended as the standard choice; plant-based protein/entrée always available when a meat entrée is offered; lean meats that are minimally processed; trans-fat free plant oils.
We have designated certain menu items that don't meet the Eat Well standard, like white bread and desserts that contain sugar, to have substitutions, like whole grain bread and fruit salad. Please ask our Catering Specialist for more details.

Inspired by a recipe from Ottolenghi, this dish is composed of roasted eggplant rounds topped with bulgur wheat, preserved lemons, golden raisins & toasted almonds with olive oil yogurt. (Vegan option is available)
